According to somua.com EA/DICE have registered a Trade Mark and Service Mark for "Battlefield 4" last thursday. While there hadn't been much debate over it, these registrations can be interpreted as the official confirmation that the upcoming Battlefield game will indeed be named Battlefield 4.
What struck us as more interesting was the announcement that the first Battlefield 4 visuals are to be shown on the 15th of March. The reveal will take place on a website. There is no information regarding the location as of right now.
We are being teased with the promise of a new dog tag which will be awarded to users who participate in the release event

Thanks to WolfskiLux for bringing this to our attention.

EA is teasing an announcement at this month’s Game Developer’s Conference. In an invitation sent to IGN, EA reminds potential attendees to “save the date” and advertises an event on March 26th at a movie theater.
The invitation sports a color scheme well known to the Battlefield 3 community. However, given last years excitement about GDC, the following disappointment and the vague nature of this hint, we're taking the statement with a grain of salt. Hoping to be pleasantly surprised by EA; the Game Developer’s Conference will take place in San Francisco from March 25th through 29th.
